Contract Purchase
Like Contract Hire a vehicle can be provided for a fixed term and mileage, and the client pays fixed monthly payments. Again full maintenance can be attached to this contract
Contract purchase is based on a hire purchase agreement; as a result the asset does appear on the client's balance sheet allowing capital allowances to be claimed.
At the end of the term the client has the option to retain the vehicle for a pre-agreed ‘balloon’ value (set at the start of the contract). If the client chooses not to buy the vehicle, it is returned to MNH who will dispose of the vehicle.
