How does MNH~platinum help their clients to choose and finance vehicles?

My company already owns its own vehicles, can I still benefit from MNH~platinum's services?

Whether you own your fleet outright or lease, MNH have a product portfolio enabling us to tailor make the ideal package to benefit your company, saving you money.

Do you deal with all vehicles ?

MNH are not tied in to any one supplier and can supply and manage all makes and models of cars and commercials.

Am I allowed to fit accessories to my vehicle?

Permission must be obtained prior to any accessory being fitted. Contact your fleet manager and the MNH~platinum maintenance department prior to any installation.

Why is regular service & maintenance important (especially for new vehicles)?

It is paramount that vehicles are serviced to their specific service schedules. This keeps the vehicle in tip top condition and also allows service centers to check and spot potential problems before they occur. Manufacturer warranties will be can be made void if services are missed or not done to correct intervals so it is important to know what the intervals are and adhear to them to prevent this.

Regular vehicle checks also need to be undertaken by the driver of the vehicle, tyre pressures, fluid levels i.e. oil, washer fluid, coolant

It is a legal duty under health and safety law to ensure any vehicle driven for work is maintained in a safe and fit condition to protect the driver and members of the public (for more details see 'Driving at Work, Managing Work-related Road Safety' issued by the DOT, Think! & HSE).

In addition, a properly maintained car is more likely to be (fuel) efficient and less likely to suffer major repair costs or excessive wear and tear charges.

Why is wear & tear consideration important ?

Fleet operators can expect to incur refurbishment charges from MNH~platinum if a vehicle is returned with an unreasonable level of wear and tear at the end of a contract period.

What is fair wear & tear?

MNH~platinum measure wear and tear in accordance with guidelines laid down by the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA). Wear and tear is a measure of the deterioration due to age and usage in overall condition, from the mechanics and the electronics through to the body work and upholstery.

What is excessive wear & tear and how do I prevent it?

Lack of attention to detail, abuse or neglect are the main reasons fleet vehicles suffer from excessive wear and tear.

The top causes of unreasonable wear and tear in a fleet vehicle are:

  • Lack of regular checks by the vehicle user and/or fleet manager, leading to faults and damage going undetected and unrepaired
  • Not adhering to the vehicle manufacturer's recommended maintenance and servicing schedule
  • Drivers not taking responsibility for the day to day care and maintenance of the vehicle
  • Poor quality of body repairs, leading to general neglect

How do I know what the recommended maintenance and servicing schedule is?

Most vehicles will tell you when a service is due either by a service count down or warning light. However not all do so if you are unsure please contact out maintenance team on 01254 244166 and a member of the team will be able to provide you with the information.

Am I obliged to use MNH~platinum's recommended servicing outlets?

You can arrange services yourself but if you contact our maintenance team they will make the appointment for you at a local service centre at a time and date convenient to you and can request courtesy cars or collection and deliveries on your behalf. If you use a specific garage MNH can work with them enabling you to continue using them providing they meet our terms and conditions.

I’ve had a puncture and changed the wheel myself, what do I do now?

Simply run your vehicle into one of over 570 kwik fit centres and they will be able to either repair or replace the damaged tyre. If that isn't possible or if you prefer we can arrange for a kwik fit mobile unit to visit you to carry out the work. Please note though that the mobile service isn't an emergency service and bookings are arranged and usually carried out within the same 24hrs.
